A Vienna, Sorgenthal, cup and saucer, circa 1797

Each decorated with a formal gilt floral pattern on a metallic purple ground below a tooled gilt zig-zag border, and a tooled gilt floral and foliate scrollwork band edged in purple on a pale-blue ground, gilt-edged rims, the cup: 5.3cm high; the saucer: 13.5cm diam., shield marks in underglaze-blue, impressed 97 to both and numerals 47 and 39, red-painted MAK inventory number Ke 7753/1 and 2 (2)
