Painted by Anton Schaller with a scene depicting the Death of Dido, after Heinrich Füger, titled on the reverse: 'La mort de Dido/ l'original peint par mons: Henri Füger/ se trouve dans le Cabinet de Son Altesse/ Serenissime Monsr. le prince Dominique Kaunitz.' in black, within formal tooled gilt borders, signed bottom right 'A. Schaller p. d'Après H. (Fü)ger', 41.9cm across, impressed 803 and P (restored)

Anton Schaller (1773-1844) was active at the Vienna porcelain manufactory between 1786 and 1826, though he was unable to work between 1807 and 1818 due to illness. From 1831 he taught anatomy at the Vienna Academy.
