A Höchst miniature group of a lady with hairdresser, circa 1755

Probably modelled by Laurentius Russinger, seated holding a flower posy and a mirror and wearing a black apron over a dress decorated with purple flowers and yellow shoes, the hairdresser wearing a pale-blue suit with a comb in his wig, a brazier and a small powder bowl on the tip of a scroll at her feet, the pierced scrollwork arbour and scroll-moulded base edged in gilding and puce, 15.2cm high (one scroll on arbour restuck, the brazier and mirror replaced)
