A Meissen deep dish, circa 1765

Painted in underglaze-blue, enamels and gilding with a central floral motif of radiating panels of gilt and iron-red flowers alternating with gilt foliage on an underglaze-blue ground, enclosed by spiral panels of gilt and iron-red flowers reserved against underglaze-blue alternating with glowering branches, the gilt-edged rim with underglaze-blue trefoil panels reserved with flowers against extensive landscapes with pagodas, the reverse with chrysanthemum demi-florets and flowering branches above a geometric border around the footrim, a iron-red and gilt flower sprig to the base next to the mark, 21.8cm diam., crossed swords mark, dot and K in underglaze-blue, impressed 10
