A rare Vienna group of Pantalone and family, circa 1750

Pantalone dressed in iron-red breeches and jacket with a black coat and purple-striped sash and yellow shoes, his companion holding his pince-nez in her right hand and carrying a baby with the left, wearing a green hat and purple skirt, on a grassy base applied with leaves, flowers and a tree-stump support, 21.5cm high, shield mark in underglaze-blue, impressed H, red-painted MAK inventory number Ke 7498.28699 (chip to leaf on back of base)
