An Egyptian alabaster headrest
Old Kingdom, 5th-6th Dynasty, circa 2450-2181 B.C.
Made in four parts, the rectangular base with shallow raised circular rim around the base of the fluted tapering shaft, surmounted by a rectangular collar and curved pillow, 19.5cm high
