Based on aerial survey photo taken by Turkish military mapping authorities, the Turkish Magnum photographer Ara Guler flew in a twin seater plane over Mount Ararat and nearby Mount Tunduruk (some 15 miles down the slope of Ararat) where he located the rock formation believed to be Noah's Ark. The boat like shape is 160 feet wide and 500 feet long.
Signed vintage prints by Guler rarely appear at auction.
