Edo period (1615-1868), 19th century

Bearing a roiro-nuri ground sprinkled with hirame and decorated in gold takamaki-e, inlays of pewter, and mother-of-pearl with two puppies seated by blossoming plants, the interior cases nashiji lacquer, signed Kakosai and with a pot seal; fitted with a metal ojime formed as a tea jar
