Rectangular and painted in polychrome enamels and gilt on the cover with a scene of people on a cherry-blossom viewing excursion by a tea house and a temple, the sides with beauties and their attendants, children at play, butterflies in flowers, and cherry blossoms, the borders painted with geometric and floral designs, the interior painted with two pigeons foraging for food and a third pigeon in flight, the rims gilt, signed on the underside Dai Nihon Ryozan, and with the Shimazu Family mark, and the Yasuda Company mark
