An unusual Satsuma dish

Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th century
The circular dish finished with the rim folded at diametrically opposite points, painted in polychrome enamels and gilt with the Seven Gods of Good Fortune and dozens of children, many holding fans, the rim painted with chrysanthemums and vines on the interior and flower blossoms and key frets on the exterior of the folded rim, the underside painted with a variety of butterflies
7 3/4in (19.7cm) wide
