A Shino Koro (Incense Burner)

Momoyama (1573-1615) or Edo (1615-1868) period, early 17th century
Of square section tapering to the slightly everted mouth, with lobed corners and set on a recessed foot, decorated on the exterior with stalks of millet, and fishing nets in brown iron oxide, all covered in a feldspathic glaze with a crackle, the copper cover pierced with auspicious symbols and lozenge designs
With a wood tomobako storage box
