Indistinct Britannia Standard Silver Hallmarks For 1700, Maker's Mark Of Joseph Reason

With curved blade (some light pitting) double-edged towards the point and deeply struck on both sides at the forte with a bladesmith's mark, a male profile bust wearing a cap, hilt comprising downbent rounded quillon cast and chased with a horseman against a punched ground on each side, knuckle-guard with the bust of a Roman emperor between foliage on each side and with dolphin-shaped terminal hooked into the pommel-cap, the latter with cherub's mask in relief on top, plain ferrule, and natural buckhorn grip, in original wood-lined brown leather scabbard with silver locket and chape each with pierced foliate border, the former with frog-hook, the latter with medallion on each side cast and chased with a profile bust of a Roman emperor and foliate scrolls against a finely punched ground
