An English Silver-Mounted Hunting Sword
London Silver Hallmarks For 1741, Indistinct Maker's Mark, Mid-18th Century

With bright tapering saw-back blade double-edged towards the point and with double fuller along the back on both sides, one fuller extending to the point, hilt cast and chased with trophies and foliage against stippled grounds and comprising downbent shell-guard, lobed rear quillon, knuckle-guard hooked into the domed pommel-cap, the latter with button, and vertically fluted ebony grip
