A Large 15-Bore Flintlock Box-Lock Pistol With Spring Bayonet

With swamped brass barrel and border engraved action in one piece, the former engraved 'London' in capital letters within scrolls along the top and mounted with folding bayonet on the right side with blade of hollow triangular section, the latter signed in capital letters within scrolls on the left and with bayonet catch on the right, border engraved ring-neck cock, figured chequered flat-sided butt, the side-flats and rounded pommel left plain within borders of small punched circles, steel trigger-guard engraved with a flower-head within a diamond-shaped panel on the bow, brass under-rib with turned ramrod-pipes, and brass-tipped ramrod with iron worm, Tower private proof marks
