A Very Rare cased Flintlock Box-Lock Three-Barrelled Tap-Action Pocket Pistol Of Small Bore

With turn-off barrels arranged in a vertical line and numbered respectively from '4' to '6', border engraved breeches numbered to correspond and engraved with a starburst around the tap on each side, border engraved action decorated with a martial trophy on each side, rectangular pan, engraved safety-catch also locking the steel, ring-neck cock (top jaw and screw replaced) engraved as a dolphin, folding trigger, chequered figured flattened rounded butt (minor damage on one side), and vacant silver escutcheon, London proof marks: in later brass-mounted mahogany case (keyhole escutcheon missing) relined and refitted for a pistol made as the pair, the exterior of the lid with shield-shaped vacant brass escutcheon
