A 32-Bore Percussion Over-And-Under Travelling Pistol
By Joseph Egg, No.1 Piccadilly, London, No. 3094, Circa 1830

With twist octagonal sighted barrels (some light wear) signed in full along the top flat and engraved 'Inventor of the Copper Cap' along the bottom flat, border engraved breeches (plugs replaced) with foliate scrollwork on the top and bottom flats, tang with back-sight and decorated with foliate scrollwork, signed case-hardened border engraved rounded back-action locks decorated with scrolling foliage, rounded dolphin hammers decorated en suite, chequered figured rounded butt (minor damage on one side), border engraved mounts decorated with scrolling foliage and comprising butt-cap with 'skull-crusher' terminal engraved with scallop shells, D-shaped trigger-guard retaining some blueing on the inside and serial numbered in an oval on the bow, no provision for a ramrod, and retaining some original finish, London proof marks
