Converted from flintlock, with swamped octagonal barrels each with silver spider fore-sight and engraved 'London' along the top flat, engraved tangs, signed flat bevelled locks (hammers missing), figured full stocks (one fore-end split and repaired at the muzzle) each carved with a shell behind the barrel tang, rounded flat-sided butts each carved with a scallop shell on the pommel, mounts comprising oval side-nail plates, trigger-guards each with acorn finial and engraved with a basket of foliage on the bow, vacant shield-shaped escutcheons, and turned ramrod-pipes (ramrods missing), Tower private proof marks (2)
