With two-stage twist sighted barrel, octagonal breech signed along the top flat and with white-metal line at the rear, foliate scroll engraved tang, signed flat bevelled lock engraved with foliate scrollwork, ring-neck cock en suite, semi-rainproof pan and roller (steel refaced), figured half-stock with chequered grip and fore-end, bellied butt with cheek-piece (some old filled worming), steel butt-plate and scroll trigger-guard, the latter with pineapple finial, vacant white-metal escutcheon, barrel-bolt escutcheons and fore-end cap, and brass-mounted wooden ramrod (steel parts pitted), Birmingham proof marks
