A Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss With Spring Bayonet
By W. Ketland & Co., London, Circa 1820

With two-stage barrel turned and belled at the muzzle, octagonal breech engraved 'London', stamped with Irish registration mark 'WB 445' for Waterford Borough on the top flat and fitted with a folding bayonet above, tang with bayonet-catch, signed border engraved flat bevelled lock, figured full stock (some old bruising), border engraved brass mounts comprising butt-plate with a Britannia shield and foliage on the heel tang, trigger-guard with large acorn finial and decorated with a flower-head on the bow, vacant escutcheon, turned ramrod-pipes, and original horn-tipped ramrod with iron worm, Birmingham proof marks and unidentified mark
