The First No. 195126 For 1866

The first with octagonal sighted barrel with New-York address, cylinder originally with naval engagement scene and with faint traces of serial number (hammer replaced), brass trigger-guard and back-strap originally silvered, rounded grips, and matching numbers apart from the rammer (worn and pitted overall); the second with reblued barrel, silvered rounded action with integral spur trigger and rounded butt (some bruising, release stud replaced): in reblued and refitted brass-mounted surgical instrument case with some modern accessories and an original James Dixon & Sons 'Colts Navy Flask' (cut-off spring incomplete) with long nozzle and split-ring for suspension
