A Rare .44 Rim-Fire Henry Early Brass Frame Model Repeating Rifle
No. 1556, Circa 1860-65

With reblued part octagonal barrel with integral tubular magazine beneath and stamped with manufacturer's details along the top flat in front of the folding adjustable back-sight calibrated to 900 yards, brass action and elevator-block, the former dovetailed for a back-sight on top, the left side of the lower tang with cancelled serial number and stamped with numbers '156' and '321', steel lever with blued revolving catch (probably replaced), figured butt with curved brass butt-plate, the latter numbered '321' on the inside and with hinged circular butt-trap cover, the retaining screws numbered en suite, and sling mounts
