A .44 Rim-Fire Winchester 1866 Third Model 'Yellow Boy' Repeating Rifled Carbine
No. 159249 For 1882

With round sighted barrel retained by two barrel bands and stamped with manufacturer's details and patent dates in front of the blued folding adjustable back-sight dated 1873 and calibrated from '2' to '9' hundred yards, tubular magazine beneath, brass action and elevator-block, the latter engraved '.44 Cal', steel lever and saddle-ring, the former with blued replacement catch, figured butt and fore-end (minor bruising), curved steel butt-plate with sliding butt-trap cover (cleaning rod missing), and with some refinishing
