A French 32-Bore Percussion Officer's Pistol
By Dabadie A Paris, Early 19th Century

Converted from flintlock, with swamped part octagonal sighted barrel browned beneath and with gilt band at the muzzle and back of the breech, the latter stamped beneath with maker's mark 'D.B' in a wreath, plain tang, signed flat bevelled lock, figured full stock, butt with unusually chequered panel along each side and with ovoidal pommel, the latter with bevelled steel cap, steel spur trigger-guard with long urn-shaped finial, turned ramrod-pipes, adjustable set-trigger, and original ramrod with steel-capped horn tip
