The First Dated 1843, The Second Mid-19th Century, The Last By Watkins, Hereford, Early 19th Century

The first with russet barrel rounded at the muzzle and inlaid in silver script 'En Eibar Por Sebastian Alberdi Año 1843' along the top, engraved lock inscribed 'En Eybar', the hammer chiselled as a seated lion, figured full stock with chequered rounded butt, and steel mounts (trigger-guard and ramrod replaced, in poor condition overall); the second converted from miquelet-lock, with belt hook and in poor pitted condition; the last of characteristic form, signed within an oval against a martial trophy over each side, folding trigger, and figured flat-sided butt (steel replaced, some surface patination), London proof marks (3)
