With swamped octagonal leaf-sighted barrel rifled with seven spiral grooves, signed along the border engraved top flat at the breech, struck with maker's gold-lined oval (Neue Støckel 1203) and chiselled with a line of beadwork at the rear, back-sight with chiselled foliate finial, lightly engraved tang, signed flat lock with enclosed wheel, the plate engraved with a landscape scene inhabited by a fisherman, a kneeling rifleman, and a swordsman and two hounds attacking a wolf, and with two demons centred on the spindle, one armed with a club, the front of the pan engraved with a marine-monster and with sprung sliding cover, cock pierced and engraved with a bear and hound, and the fence to the chiselled cock-spring pierced and engraved with an otter, its tail in the mouth of a human mask, moulded figured full stock with fluted fore-end, butt with cheek-piece, the latter with fluted horn and wood along the bottom and carved with foliage in front, floret-shaped dark horn side-nail washers and butt-plate, the latter with iron button, fluted patch-box cover of figured wood and dark and white horn, iron trigger-guard indented for the fingers, set trigger, horn ramrod-pipes and fore-end cap, the latter with lines of white horn at the rear, and ramrod with dark horn tip
