A Composite Half-Armour

Comprising an associated German burgonet with two-piece skull rising to a comb, integral upward pointing riveted peak and neck-guard each with turned and crimped border, and hinged cheek-pieces each with lower border en suite and pierced with holes, gorget of two main plates hinged together and with plain turns at the neck, breast-plate with medial ridge drawn-out to a rounded point above a narrow outward flange at the base, back-plate (patched repair) with three-plate culet, the lower border turned and roped, single-plate skirt carrying brass hinges for detachable rectangular tassets each of five upward lapping lames, articulated arm-defences with pauldrons each of six overlapping plates, the three upper plates extending over the front and back, vambraces each with turning joint, bracelet couter, and tubular cannons hinged together and with pin-catch, the main edges turned, and dome-headed rivets throughout, those on the tassets brass-covered (some patched repairs)
