Circa 1830

Retaining its green baize lining (compartments missing, upper edge with some damage), and containing some contemporary accessories comprising a brass-mounted three-way powder-flask, the body covered in red leather (stained, minor damage), a turnscrew with swelling wooden handle of octagonal section and retaining its brass pricker, a leather flint wallet, a pan brush, and a steel patch-cutter, the interior of the lid with original Joseph Manton trade label (minor damage, upper lock mechanism missing), the exterior of the lid with folding brass carrying handle centred on a circular vacant brass escutcheon
