A Pair Of Spanish Or Mexican Rowel Spurs
Early 18th Century Or Later

Of iron, each with heel-band rounded on the outside and chiselled with spiral bands and fluting variously plain, notched and inlaid with chased brass (some losses), squared terminals pierced and chiselled with foliage on the outside, the latter retaining original mounts for leathers, downbent rowel-boxes chiselled en suite, and multi-pointed rowels each retained by a ring-headed cross-pin (2)
14 cm.
