Six German Crossbow Bolts, And Four Continental Woodsman's Axes
The Tips Of The First Late 15th/Early 16th Century

The first each with lapped lozenge-shaped head of stiff diamond section, and each on wooden haft with wooden flights; the second comprising two each with heavy single-edged blade of 'gull-wing' form deeply struck with maker's marks, and each on an integral socket with flat rectangular peen, another, with slightly convex cutting-edge, short truncated 'beard' and deeply struck on one side with dagger, eyelash and flower-head marks, and with integral socket, the last with triangular blade and crescentic cutting edge struck on one side with maker's initials and marks, and integral block-shaped socket, all on wooden hafts (10)
The first 37.8 cm. to 44.3 cm.
