The rare lithographic poster printed in red, black and yellow, 1918, on thin wove backed onto linen, printed by Dangerfield Printing Co. Ltd, London, the full sheet, several vertical and horizontal folds with associated skilfully repaired tears and splits, generally in good condition, framed

Sheet 750 x 480mm. (29 1/2 x 18 7/8in.)

Footnotes

Now the Bayonets have Won Through was commissioned by the National War Savings Committee to raise money for the war effort. The bold design with stylized text against a vibrant orange and yellow background, reflects the influence of Vorticism with the letters echoing the jagged edges of the raised bayonets.
