A Worcester creamboat, circa 1754-56

Of flared hexagonal shape, the square-sectioned handle with a curled thumbrest, the sides moulded with scrollwork cartouches painted in blue with a version of the 'Sinking Boat Fisherman' pattern (I.B.20), a fisherman in a sampan to one side and a man on a bridge to the other, the interior rim painted with flowers and an insect, 11.3cm long, workman's mark
