A Worcester creamboat, circa 1754-55

Of oval section, the angular handle with a scrolled thumbrest, ozier-moulded panels above the foot and below the flared and lobed rim, painted in famille rose colours with an exotic bird perched on fruit, the reverse with flowers, both panels flanked by crisply moulded grasses, flowers sprays painted around the interior rim, 10.7cm long

This is a particularly well moulded example of a rare form of creamboat. Coloured bird decoration is also very unusual on this form.
