A Worcester basket, circa 1772

Decorated in the workshop of James Giles, of flared oval form, with crabstock handles issuing flowers and leaves, the pierced sides applied with florets, picked out in two tones of green, stylised florets painted on the corresponding intersections on the interior, the centre with a large flower spray and sprigs in green, with a gilt line rim, 23cm wide
