A Worcester teapot and cover, circa 1754-55

Of plain globular shape with a pointed finial, painted in colours in Chinese style with the 'Snake in a Basket' pattern of a 'Long Eliza' figure holding a fan, a basket containing a 'ruyi' sceptre beside two trees to the left, the cover with ribboned emblems or precious objects, 23.3cm high (2)
