A Worcester sauceboat, circa 1755

Of high-footed form, moulded with rococo cartouches, the scroll handle with a pronounced thumbrest, decorated with 'smoky primitive' prints of the 'Squirrel and Pheasant', the interior with 'Milking Scene no.2', all picked out in enamel colours, the cartouches highlighted in puce, painted flower sprays and smaller sprigs inside the rim and on the foot, 19.2cm long
