Footnotes

Provenance
Ralph Kenber Collection

A similar vase is in the H Rissik Marshall collection, no.513 in the Ashmolean Museum, while a larger form of this vase was given by Lady Charlotte Schreiber to the Victoria & Albert museum (414:39/&A-1885). Both have almost identical decoration to the current lot and combined with the beaker vases, these would have formed impressive garnitures.
