A boar-tusk netsuke of a crab

By Kanman (1793-1859), Iwami Province, early 19th century
Carved in high relief with a large crab, facing to the side and with its legs partially undercut, signed Iwami no ju Kanman saku (made by Kanman of Iwami). 10.8cm (4¼in).
