Attributed to Mitani Goho, Aki Province, late 18th/early 19th century
The frog squatting on a short section of bamboo, its head raised and looking alert as if about to leap, its body almost covered with ukibori and its eyes inlaid in pale horn, unsigned. 4.5cm (1¾in).
