Probably Iwami Province, early 19th century
The tusk of relatively shallow curvature, the upper part lacquered and etched in low relief with the first line of the poem Song Guo Si Cang (Bidding Farewell to Official Guo) by the Tang dynasty poet Wang Changling, inscribed Hakuya. 11.6cm (4 5/8in).
