Style of Mitani Goho, Aki Province, early 19th century
The centipede crawling down the side of the hanging vase, formed from a thick section of bamboo which is pierced with a horizontal slot that doubles as the larger cord hole, the wood slightly worn and of a good colour, unsigned. 5.1cm (2in) high.
