The large insect finely carved, its wings folded with veins finely carved in relief, the flattish section of typically-striated driftwood polished beneath, signed with very faint ukibori characters Tomita no junin Seisendo Masatoyo saku (made by Seisendo Masatoyo, a resident of Tomita). 7cm (2¾in).
