The winged beetle resting with legs splayed on a thick branch of oak with an acorn and leaves carved in relief, the mainly dark material with slight pale patches, signed Iwami-no-kuni Kakuhodo Kanman to (carved by Kakuhodo Kanman of Iwami Province) with a kao. 7cm (2¾in).
