A Meissen deep plate, circa 1765

Painted in underglaze-blue, enamels and gilding with a central flower motif with radiating panels of gilt and iron-red flowers reserved against underglaze-blue, alternating with flowering branches, one in gilt and iron-red and the other two further embellished in green and purple, the gilt-edged rim with three underglaze-blue-ground flower panels, alternating with extensive landscapes with pagodas, the reverse with two bands of flowering branches, the lower with two chrysanthemum demi-florets, and an iron-red geometric border above the footrim, an iron-red and gilt flower sprig by the mark on the underside, 21.9cm diam., crossed swords mark, dot and K in underglaze-blue, impressed 10
