A Meissen teapot and cover, 1728-30

Decorated in famille verte style, various flowering plants growing from rockwork, a bird perched on one trailing stem, the rockwork heightened in Böttger lustre, an underglaze-blue border of rui-heads around the neck rim, the cover with a matching bird and rockwork around the Böttger lustre finial, 10cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised x (2)
