CARTER JR., B. S. Archive of nine drawings of the great Swedish movie star (including one in costume for Romance) with a drawing of a man doing crossword puzzles, 1951. Drybrush and some pencil. Various sizes. Some creases and soiling.

Greta Garbo (born Greta Lovisa Gustafsson) epitomized the Hollywood star in the late silent and early sound eras. Famous for the line "I want to be alone," she retired from acting after making her last picture in 1941. B. S. Carter Jr. exhibited at the Ferargil Galleries in New York City.
