THOMPSON, KAY.

Victorian bell jar of wax fruit arrangement with cloth leaves and real Peruvian butterflies, a Christmas gift of the author of Eloise to her illustrator, height: 455, diameter: 295 mm, some damage where the wax fruit has melted.

Ms. Thompson had seen this unusual objet d'art in an antique shop and immediately thought of it as something Hilary Knight would like. She gave it to him as a Christmas present; and he added the Peruvian butterflies.
