Provenance: Clayton Knight's personal copy.

FIRST EDITION, NO 7 OF 12 COPIES SIGNED, by C. Knight, Eddie Rickenbacker and other pilots on blank page facing title page, additionally signed by Knight to blank half-title. Mr. Knight's father, Clayton Knight, was himself a well-known illustrator who had served as a fighter pilot in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. during World War I. He studied with George Bellows and Robert Henri at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before enlisting in the newly formed American Air Forces. Pilots' Luck is his vivid history of the early days of aviation during war time largely based on his personal experiences.
