A Mitzi Gaynor pair of dresses worn on Mitzi...and 100 Guys and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, designed by Bob Mackie
CBS, 1975. Black Swiss dot long-sleeved dress with a nude illusion upper bodice, ruffled neckline and cuffs, with multiple layers of chiffon underneath the ruffled skirt, cinched with a black velvet belt with a rhinestone buckle, bearing an interior label inscribed, "Elizabeth Courtney / Costumes / Hollywood," worn when Mitzi sings "Life is a Rock" with guest star Michael Landon; together with a similar but slightly different design of a lilac-colored long-sleeved completely pleated dress with a scoop neck and cuffs trimmed in ruffles, a pleated skirt with an underskirt of multiple pleated layers, and a pink satin belt, worn on both the TV special and on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on March 21, 1975, where both times she performed the number, "Four or Five Times," with actor Jack Albertson. Accompanied by 2 photos of Mitzi wearing the dresses.
