A Margaret Mitchell autograph letter signed to Herschel Brickell
Typed Letter Signed ("Margaret"), 1 p, 4to, Atlanta, November 4, 1937, to Hershel Brickell, on personal letterhead, with original typed transmittal envelope. An interesting note from Mitchell to her friend, writer and critic Brickell, regarding the casting of Belle Watling in Gone With the Wind and the need for Brickell's services as an expert on the different Southern accents required for the madam of a brothel and the high society characters portrayed in the film. "Knowing the movie people and their ways," Mitchell writes, "I would not be at all surprised if they had dispatched Rolls-Royces with couriers and outriders to kidnap you."
