The present work is a posthumous cast authorized by the artist's daughter Nona Proctor Smith in 1973. The work bears an inscription with her name and the year the edition was executed. The present work from the The L.D. "Brink" Brinkman collection was first modeled by the artist for the Boone and Crocket Club.
